The scenario:
The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) started investigations as there was a breach of health and safety law at a dairy farm when a fatal accident occurred involving an employee who walked in front of a moving tractor.
What happened?
A prosecution case was brought forward under Section 2 of the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 and the directors were faced with a fine of £100,000. The insured directors pleaded guilty.
The outcome:
