Changes to Rural Protect Elements’ Turnover threshold

Since the launch of Rural Protect Elements, we have been collecting your feedback to ensure that the product meets the needs of its target audience, those being smaller rural businesses and smallholders who do not necessarily require the length and breadth of cover available through Rural Protect.

Your overarching request was around Rural Protect Elements’ maximum turnover limit not encapsulating enough of your smaller clients. With this in mind, we have reviewed the turnover limit, whilst being mindful that Rural Protect Elements is aimed at smaller risks and is tailored in such a way that the policy limits, such as the indemnity limit and inner limit for crime or fraud, are restricted (as they take into account the needs of smaller businesses).

We are therefore pleased to announce that, with immediate effect, the Turnover threshold for Rural Protect Elements has been increased from £50,000 to £100,000 per annum.

We hope that this will enable you to utilise the Rural Protect Elements product more frequently and introduce it to your customers whose annual farm insurance spend may have been caused a Management Liability policy to be out of reach.

If you are considering moving a client from Rural Protect to Rural Protect Elements at renewal, please ensure that you take a look at our comparison brochure, here, to ensure you and they fully understand the differences between both covers.
