Great Scone Palace Challenge

Rural Protect Proud to Support RSABI’s Great Scone Palace Challenge with £1,000 Donation

At Rural Protect, we are delighted to be sponsoring RSABI’s Great Scone Palace Challenge 2025, to support the charity’s essential work across the Scottish agricultural community.

This two-day event will take place in September 2025, with a Welcome Party on Friday 12th September at Perth Racecourse, followed by the main Challenge on Saturday 13th September in the magnificent grounds of Scone Palace, Perthshire. It promises to be a memorable and engaging occasion for rural professionals, supporters, and organisations alike.

The Challenge itself features a variety of outdoor physical and mental tasks, designed to test teamwork, encourage connection, and raise funds for RSABI – while shining a spotlight on the issues facing those working in agriculture today.

Why We’re Supporting RSABI

RSABI (Royal Scottish Agricultural Benevolent Institution) provides crucial support to people involved in Scottish agriculture. Their services include:

  • Emotional support – via a confidential 24/7 helpline and professional counselling
  • Practical assistance – through advice, connections, and signposting
  • Financial support – for those experiencing short-term hardship or emergency need

The pressures of agricultural life – isolation, market uncertainty, unpredictable weather, and long hours – can have a significant impact on mental wellbeing. RSABI’s support is available across all ages and roles within the farming sector, from farm owners and tenants to workers, crofters, and contractors.

At Rural Protect, we recognise the importance of standing behind these communities not only through tailored insurance solutions but also through tangible support. That’s why we proudly promote RSABI’s work and actively signpost their services to brokers, clients, and farming families.

Our sponsorship forms part of this wider effort to ensure help is accessible where it’s most needed.

A Shared Commitment to Wellbeing in Agriculture

The Great Scone Palace Challenge is more than a team-building day – it is a call to action for the agricultural sector to recognise the importance of mental health, social connection, and community resilience. It serves to:

  • Raise awareness of RSABI and its support services
  • Bring rural teams and businesses together for a positive cause
  • Generate essential funds for a charity that makes a difference on the ground

We are proud to stand with RSABI and other like-minded organisations working to safeguard wellbeing in Scottish farming.

Signposting as a Responsibility

Through Rural Protect, we champion the principle that insurance brokers and underwriters can and should play a proactive role in signposting support. We work closely with RSABI in Scotland and RABI (Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution) in England and Wales to equip brokers with resources and guidance that help them identify when clients might benefit from professional help.
